Sandy Kral, a long time resident of Ohio’s North Coast area, majored in art at Kent State University and most recently, photography and graphic communication at Cuyahoga Community College.
Her current creative interest lies in flower photography. She thinks of this as Floral Portraiture.

I often accomplish this with close-up photography and digital enhancement. This creates a subtle, painterly quality. Close-up photography offers the view a completely different experience, often of simply enjoying the rich colors, patterns and textures that are frequently overlooked when viewed from a distance or when in a group.”

Her other photographic genre is the special world of black and white.
For Sandy, it is the every day, common events and objects, when portrayed through black and white, that have a special quality unique to black and white photography. Black and white enables each viewer to create their own feelings about the image, resulting in a much more personal, individual and rewarding experience.

Most recently, Sandy has used her imagery in movie format, as documentation of events and a showcase for her photography.

Presentations have opened up an exciting and contemporary means of sharing her work.
